Gaoxiang, under the mentorship of Professor Feng Ge at UCAS, utilized biochemical and bioinformatics approaches to elucidate the catalytic and regulatory mechanisms of novel methyltransferase and acetyltransferase in cyanobacteria.
After completing his PhD in Genetics, he joined the lab in November 2024. His current research focuses on understanding the assembly and regulatory mechanisms of the olfactory complex through biochemical methodologies. Additionally, he has a strong interest in RNA-mediated regulatory processes, particularly in the context of olfactory gene expression in engineered animal models.
In his free time, Gaoxiang enjoys playing ping pong and basketball, hiking, and cooking.
